대지는 중심지에서 약 10km 떨어진 작은 마을을 이루고 있는 곳으로 뒤에 산을 배경으로 하고 있다. 밭이 있었던 곳이 주택단지로 조금씩 바뀌어가고 있고 주변에 하나 둘씩 단독주택으로 채워지고 있다. 대지는 남측으로 열려져 있고 건물은 도로로부터 이격되어 있어 앞마당을 사이에 두고 개인 프라이버시를 충족하였다. 뒤 편으로는 병풍처럼 둘러쌓인 산이 인상적이다.앞마당을 지나 현관을 들어서면 서재 겸 2층으로 올라가는 계단이 보인다. 다만 다른 주택과는 다르게 2층으로 올라가는 계단이 숨기워져 있고 이 계단을 주위로 책장과 독서할 수 있는 계단식 공간이 형성되었다. 더 안쪽으로 들어서면 층고가 높은 거실과 마주보고 있는 식당,주방공간이 구성되어 있다. 뒤편으로 다용도실을 지나면 외부에 일할 수 있는 뒷마당과 마주한다. 복도의 끝자락에 위치한 아이를 위한 놀이방이 인상깊다.
2층에는 주로 침실 공간이 있고 각각의 방으로 통해 나갈수 있는 베란다는 주위 경치를 감상할 수 있는 공간이다.
The site forms a small village about 10km away from the center, with mountains in the background. The place where there used to be a field is gradually changing into a housing complex, and the surrounding area is being filled with detached houses one by one. The site is open to the south and the building is separated from the road, providing privacy with the front yard in between. In the back, the mountains surrounded like a folding screen are impressive.
When you pass through the front yard and enter the front door, you can see the stairs that go up to the second floor that serves as a study. However, unlike other houses, the stairs to the second floor are hidden, and a bookshelf and a cascading space for reading are formed around the stairs. Going further inside, there is a living room with a high ceiling, a dining room facing each other, and a kitchen space. Passing through the utility room to the back, you face the backyard where you can work outside. The playroom for children located at the end of the hallway is impressive.
On the second floor, there is mainly a bedroom space, and the veranda that can be accessed through each room is a space where you can enjoy the surrounding scenery.
